Beautiful Oregon Coast

Just a quick update on our stay here. We finally received some much needed rain after 3 months of dry weather. Yesterday it was a windy, rainy day. Today it is absolutely gorgeous!

We had the pleasure of my brother and his wife visiting from Bend, OR a couple of weeks ago. We toured the Newport Bay Front and especially Nye Beach. We enjoyed a lovely dinner at The Chowder Bowl, superb meal! The next day we drove down to Waldport and enjoyed a car show during their Dungeness Crab Fest. These are just a couple of very nice cars mostly from cities along the Oregon Coast.

We have good friends coming for a visit this weekend, driving down from the Vancouver, WA area. It will be nice to have one couple bringing their Silver Eagle. Also the friends we stayed with in Vancouver will be bringing their Bounder. They bought it to use while they build their MCI 102A3.

We went over to Salem to visit my Mom a couple of weeks ago and enjoyed our time. My brother Pete and his wife Carol live with her, helping Mom out, especially after losing my Dad in June of this year.

We took a different road going and coming back. We first went to Newport and took Hwy 20 to Corvallis then headed north on 99W to West Salem. On the return trip we headed south on I5 to Corvallis then took Hwy 34 to Waldport. That is one road that we will not be taking our coach on, very windy and narrow. It follows the Alsea river to the Pacific Ocean.

That’s all for now, need to go take the dogs for a walk while the weather is so good!
